I was thinking about Search Engine Optimization and how its the Internet’s version of Yellow Page advertising … with the lottery thrown in for good measure. If you’re willing to spend the money you can get the biggest and best placement in the Yellow Pages; if you’re willing to spend the money, you might get the best placement in your favorite search engine … or you might not … unless you commit to the highest bid in your favorite pay for placement program … assuming you guess right as to how your prospects are going to search for you. Okay, it’s not the Yellow Pages + the Lottery; more like the Yellow Pages as envisioned by Timothy Leary…
