I still see social media like FB more like an extra service. Making it a bit easier for the customer to get an answer.

If people don’t know you then they won’t find your fb page that easily.

It helps when people like and become a fan of your business page. But
for that to happen there should be a good relationship between you and
the customer already.

Though internet visibility is very important, so if you have the time it’s an easy thing you can do.

Name the time and place, amigo. I'm always ready for a face-to-face debate about the quickly eroding world of "social" media. Too bad we can't get Marsha and Elli to fly out and join us.

Michael, for folks who are supposedly living in the age of "Social" it seems that we're becoming anything but... We seem to be more interested in numbers than names; numbers of followers on Twitter, number of 'friends' on Facebook, number of visits to our latest blog post but we neglect the most important part the names behind all those numbers and, it seems, we may not be particularly interested in anyone finding out ours ... a funny way to do business, eh?

Coffee, is that an invitation?

Perfectly true, Tom. It's not only amazing how many sites forget to include a phone number, but it's even more astonishing how many people don't even include their own name, or the name of the principals in their company. Yeah, I'm sure about to hire "Make Millions Online," when that's all that they tell me about who they are. Their about pages say things like, "Greatest Business Coach of the Century is known for helping struggling entrepreneurs......" Oh really? And, who is the "greatest?"

Recently, I corresponded with a person on LinkedIn who is only known as "Bobby J {KB Gold - GREEN Gold}." If you try and find out anything else about this person on LinkedIn or their web site you'd be out of luck. She said it was her "brand." I think it was her smokescreen.

But, Tom, you and I both know that the telephone is still just a lame excuse for a meeting in a good old-fashioned coffee house.
